Situated amongst the totaras in the shadows of Taupiri Mountain, JUSCOT is a happy kennel of mainly black ( and a couple of brindle ) Scottish Terriers.
A relatively new kennel, I chose the name Juscot pronounced “Just scot” to stand for JUst SCOTties or JUdy’s SCOTties. I live here with my husband Frank, and my lovely dogs. We have a grown up family of four, and a growing number of very cute grandchildren.Laura, Holly and Thomas feature in some of my puppy photos. Frank is the provider and builder of all the lovely amenities that my dogs and I enjoy.
At Juscot we have been very fortunate to start our Kennel with dogs who had the very best of temperaments and soundness. Although I breed with the hope of producing that elusive Best in Show Winner, my other main focus in breeding is for temperament and soundness, whilst trying to retain type.
I had been involved in the world of breeding and showing dogs for some years and was campaigning some West Highland White Terriers for Maureen Murphy of Whitebriar West Highland White Kennels when Maureen asked me to run on a litter of Scottish terrier puppies for her. In this litter was a little bitch Wilma (Ch Just Enchant’n for Whitebriar)who I kept. It is Wilma and her progeny to whom I owe my success. She was the beginning, a great foundation bitch.
